WATERCOLOR TRADITIONAL PAINTING

Forest Shrine

A watercolor study of a forest path leading to a small torii-gate shrine, tucked between two large trees with a mossy stone base. The greens do most of the work layered, loose, and letting the paper breathe in places while the shrine's red gate provides the one saturated accent against an otherwise earthy, sun-dappled palette. A quiet, contemplative piece, more about atmosphere than precision.
